I am among those very privileged and fortunate ones that attended the 2012 Food Bloggers Indaba. I got to Cape Town a few days before the Indaba, and managed to catch up with some old friends and make some new friends. I have seen that many have written about the events and their experiences of the day, so therefore i am not going to go through all of that. I was so glad that i could meet so many of my blogging idols in person and i learnt so much from the various speeches and workshops. Colleen Grove of Brownie Girl put together an amazing Indaba and she helped me sort my bookings and even arranged for Sigrid of Yuppiecheof to fetch me from my hotel on the morning of the Indaba. Unbelievable as to how she took care of each and every one of us there-I salute thee Colleen. The amazing “Goody Bags”, first time ever have i seen that you get not 1, not 2 but 3 goody bags and an amazing gift (Yuppiechef) as well. I actually could not bring some of the items, but i can assure you it went to a needier person. At the end of the day, the amazing, smiling Sam Linsell of Drizzle & Dip, gave me a lift back to my hotel. Well i am already waiting for the FBI 2013, because i am not going to miss out anymore. A very big thank you to all who made the FBI 2012 such and amazing event and a big thank you to all those wonderful bloggers that i met and made me feel so welcome.

It was lovely to meet you and thanks again for the spices, which I haven’t used yet, but I shall!
You are most welcome, and i am not sure which spice you got the vegetable or rice?
Love the new pic on your profile
It was so nice meeting you and thanks again for the nigella seeds. Are your daughter watching the tennis?
You are most welcome, & yes it is my daughter in law who is a huge Federer Fan, and the whole family were supporting him yesterday, so well done “Roger”
Hey Usha, I just saw this post now. So sorry I missed it earlier. Have been so ill for the past month so no blogging or work as per doctors orders!! Thank you so much for the lovely words you wrote. I do appreciate them very much. It was fabulous to meet you and thank you for the fabulous spices, for me and for everyone who attended.
Hugs, xxx

It was great seeing you again!
Hi Usha, I don’t think we met at the Indaba, but I was wondering who the intriguing little packet of nigella seeds came from in the goody bags, so thank you very much for that – I’m still looking for the right thing to use them for – any suggestions?
