CHAAT-is a Hindi word meaning ‘To Lick or To Taste’ and it is the term that refers to finger licking snacks served in small portions as a perfect ‘Light Snack’. Chaat is generally sold on most street corners in and around India, each region bringing their local specialities to the metropolis of the likes of Mumbai, Delhi and etc.
Fruit Chaat – Is a blend of assorted fruits or a single variety or some fruit tossed with potatoes and some delicious chutney. You can let your imagination run wild when choosing fruit combinations for Fruit Chaat-however seasonal availability is a good guideline when making your choices. Fruit Chaats are packed with valuable nutrients and it is lower in calories than most other chaats and it packs a flavourful punch not mention that it clears all misconceptions that Chaat belongs to the “Junk Food Category”
Because I am such a sucker for “Chaats” my allocation of 2 Zespri Green Kiwis were used to make a “Kiwi & Apple Chaat” for Day one’s challenge. Eating chaat is like having an explosion in your mouth—and a nice kind of flavourful explosion that sends out blasts of sweet, salty, tangy and cool vibes through ones taste buds

1 medium red apple finely chopped
7ml fruit chaat masala

- Sprinkle the fruit chaat over the fruit and toss well
- Slide into a serving bowl and chill well
